Good Evenings, Pret A Manger!

Pret A Manger extend business into evening hours for a casual dining experience.

Well done Pret. You have done it again.

You must have been thinking about this for a long time, but now that you have finally opened your evening offer (the Strand, London –next-door to the Savoy), it has all the effortless charm that we’d expect from one of our favourite brands.

The atmosphere is warm, inviting and less tinny than the usual Pret – more like a Bill’s or a Boston Tea Party (if you’re from down Bristol way).  The transition from day-offer to evening restaurant is swift and smooth:  pull down this blind, dim those lights, pull the veil across these fridges.  Smooth.

All the little touchpoints have been considered….  The Protobello Pilsner and Barry Island IPA comes out along with the selection of good value wines, and the staff take you to your seat and serve you the meal.

Of course, you’ll want to know about the food… I’m an ambience man myself and the food is always second fiddle to a good atmosphere to me, but as you’d imagine the food is as delicious as ever. And its quick….    Which means you really can pop in on the way home or fit it in before the theatre or cinema.

As always it feels as though your being good to your body, and just generally good.
